WebApr 6, 2024 · not a direct answer, but i have the 70-200/2.8L non IS. corner stars are not round at f/2.8 and f/3.2 - so you’d need to go to f/4 to get round stars corner to corner. I expect the f/4 would be optically better wide open than the f2.8 - but at f/4 I expect the f/2.8 to be better since it’s already stopped down.
