WebTeucrium chamaedrys. Native to the Mediterranean. A shrubby perennial with upright, woody-based stems. Leaves are dark green, ovate, toothed, 3/4" long, 1/4" wide. Flowers are purple-red, in whorls on loose spikes, 1/2" to 3/4" long in summer. Small compact size good for small edging or walkways. Plant Characteristics. WebSize: 1 foot tall and 15 to 18 inches wide. Conditions: Full sun; well-drained soil. ‘Siskiyou Blue’ fescue is a long-lived, well-proportioned evergreen offering gentle naturalness. This grass grows into a tufted form with fine-textured, powder blue blades. The flowers radiate a light green that mellows to warm amber by late summer.
