WebThe parent Society has its roots in a Nottingham High School Old Boys’ Dinner Committee, which was founded in the 1870s and which held several dinners every year in various parts of the country. In 1902 the headmaster Dr George Sherbrooke Turpin (also a former pupil) formally established the Nottingham High School Old Boys’ Society. WebSix months later (November 1948), the foundation stone was laid at the very site where the school has since been located pending its relocation to Abijo, Lagos Island. On January 16,1950, the new building of Eko Boys’ High School, Mushin, opened with 300 students on the roll. At last, the school stood firmly on its own ground.
