WebSpence Cabin: Away from the noisy streets of Gatlinburg, in the Great Smoky Mountains, you will find a secluded cottage in the woods where all you can hear are the rustling leaves and flowing water of a mountain stream. This quaint cabin was built in 1928 as a vacation home and restored by the National Park Service in 2011. WebLocated in the Elkmont Historic District of the national park, Spence Cabin was built in 1928. Today, in it’s restored state, it’s a pink cabin with green shutters tucked away in the forest of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. One of our favorite venues in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is Spence Cabin in Elkmont.
